Miss Agatha got a good clean up and about a 45 min ride.

Temp was super and the sun was out. She ran like the lady she is.

Couple of friends came over to check her out this afternoon. So I uncovered her and they ohoo and awed of course. Then one of them said does it run, hehe.

I hit the Ign. then the starter, instant start up from outside the car even, idled like she should, of course I knew she was still a bit warm from her outing but I will never tell. LOL Got their attention.

All in all, good fun.

NO!@%$&*##%$! I've spent ALL day removing the rear end from the '63 Midget....everything went great until I got to the passenger rear spring bolt...had to cut it off - heat didn't work...now I've got a cut off bolt inside my spring...then, I turned to removing the trailing arms & shocks & am almost finished drilling out the long bolt holding the shock to the body! Then the car can go to the bodyshop tomorrow....

I made the mistake of thinking that, as the a-arms and spindles had already been installed, putting the new bearings and hubs on to complete the disk brake conversion, wouldn't be that time consuming......

It was sunny and 4c here. I sure wish I had a motor, all the snow has melted a perfect day for a drive.

I don't think that we had much more than 1/2" of rain today- Definitely NOT an LBC kind of day /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

We had OK weather, but I spent the afternoon assembling a new parking lift (yea!) for my home garage. This should free up space so that I can work on some projects here at my home as well.

Ran the snow blower again today. The theme for this winter.

I've been working on a load lightening plan for my LBC's.

I know the easiest way to increase performance is to lighten the load the car has to carry.
That's me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
So I spent most of the day napping, as my body doesn't like the plan very much.

I got in the GT & went to the store tonight. The seat belt is fitting a little looser - might have to tighten it up a bit soon. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Gonna fire up the HT & watch some 3:10 to Yuma now! WooHoo!

Fit the second bumper on and finished gaskets for body fittings. Got everything back on that I had before she went in for paint. Even got the badges on the front and back!! Pulled the hood, motor and tranny, hopefully fixed the leak that was coming from the tranny and got her all buttoned back up. Busy day. Repainted the header with some stuff that should handle the temps. waiting for it to dry and can begin getting her to run again. Can't wait for spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or at least a chance to run her up and down the road again.

Dude! I have had unBELIEVABLE LBC weather this week: crystal clear, sunny and cool. It was in the 40's in the morning, so I put on my bababooshka hat, my gloves and drove to work top down. All that stuff got stashed on the parcel shelf for the drive home: 70s in the afternoon all week. I love Central Texas winters!

Rick, I am on the a similar performance increasing plan. Ever since my neighbor got a job a brewery, my car has taken a real performance hit.

It was relatively sunny (at least for a few hours) and temps in the mid 40's today. I gave her a bath and then I took the top off for the first time in almost 2 months and cruised around town! Fun day!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
