Hoop support

Is the Trunk Striker Bracket - Hoop support mounted a little off center to the right or am I seeing things ? It looks like it was that way from factory but who knows what this guy might of done ? :hammer:

Can someone measure from the rear bumper mounting brackets to the middle of the trunk latch ? I replaced trunk floor and the bracket looks to be offset to the right on the original parts. I guess so latch mates with the lid properly ?

You are correct, it is off to the right. From the inside edge of the left bumper bracket to the left edge of the hoop support, it is 17 1/2" on mine. From the inside edge of the right bumper bracket to the right edge of the hoop support is 15 1/4".
