TR2/3/3A Hooked up the Headlights and let the smoke out!!!

We installed the headlight buckets and lights. Turned them on to test the alignment and just happened to look towards the back of the car to see smoke coming out. The red wires to the rear lights do not like something. A little tracing work to see what is cross wired. I know they all worked previously so something has changed.

Took a break from wiring and starting putting the doors back together. Now I wonder who took those 4 little screws that hold on the latch?

Cars are fun, I find more of my lost parts right where I left them. Eventually!

i have found that if i cant find something, i go to my computer and order what i can't find. Then go back out to the garage and look for something else, and my missing part will show up!

Dan, we have the same system.

When I'm done with the resto, I'll be having quite a sales day on EBay selling all the bits that I ordered two or three times over the past couple years.

I found where the smoke came from. Some dummy put the red wire to the license plate light to the wrong place. I would fire him but he pays the bills. I find the small things like putting the lights on, putting on the rear bumpers take a lot of time. I must have dozed off on the license plate light.
I did get all the hardware back on the doors. I can't decide if I should put the upholstery on the inside of the door now, or after mounting the door and fitting it to the frame. Any suggestions out there?
