HOOD "SEAL"

In looking at the hood seal (Moss's term for for the long rubber strip at the carbs side) on Ebay Healeys, some are mounted so that the fin points inward and some out. (Some don't have any.) Which way is correct?
Thanks.

OH! Just point the lip in towards the engine TH and you will be good to go.--Fwiw--Keoke
Actually facing either way it will serve its intended purpose

Oh I beg to differ. I too thought it didn't matter, but recently I was told at a car show by someone who sounded like they knew what they were talking about that it does make a difference.

Hi TH,

Rich,
The strip should be 26 inches long, mounted with the lip outboard.
