I just put the hood bumpers on the recently installed hood, and they both failed/broke. Like the rubber was of poor quality. Are there real rubber bumpers (good quality) out there to be had? To put things into perspective though, the replacement bumpers were purchased a few years ago, but kept inside, wrapped in plastic bags.....So???

I find that these seem to be a part that wears; here in the desert, especially. Make sure to adjust plates on the side of the scuttle. I found I had to leave the screws a bit loose adjust the depth of the pins, then tighten all fasteners.

T.T.

Don't slam the hood down like on an American car. Place it down gently and then push it closed. This will preserve the life of all parts.
