My hood prop is rattling enough to make my head hurt. Have any of you guys come up against this? How did you resolve it?

Mine has a spring washer on the mounting bolts. It seems to keep it from rattling. (At least I can't hear it over the other bunch of noise)

Does it not have a piece of rubber tube in the middle to keep it from bumping.

Different models we have. However, I am just trying to help a bit. It should be tight when stowed.

Service Parts List calls for a spring washer as Trevor describes.

Hehe, mine does not rattle it is hanging on the wall. I have never installed it. Has been cleaned and painted and such.

Think I will put that on my to do LIST. It would look cool.

Himm, also have a sway bar ready to install. Shucks I got lots to do. Thanks.

Update: installing the spring washers in the correct order makes a big difference. Now to chase down the new rattles I can hear.

i've been searching for one of these spring washers, anyone know where i can dig one up? thanks, chad
