Honolulu's Annual All British Car Day will be held on Sunday June 4, 2006 at Kapiolani Park. The parking lot on the corner of Paki and Monserrat will be open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM to display British made vehicles of any vintage or any condition. A small donation of $5.00 per car is requested. Spectators are free.

I'LL BE THERE! I fly from Huntsville, Alabama on June 29th...will be in Honolulu until July 3rd.

I want an XL tee shirt - how do I reserve one?

Tony,

Could you let me know if you find my original British car?
It was a '59 Healey 100-6 that I sold to Love-Thomas Motrors in Honolulu in 1975.It was a Red 4 seater,w/disc wheels.

If you don't take a stack of BCF Cards with you to hand out.....don't come back! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

So, I need a stack!

Aloha Basil,

I always take a stack with me to pass the word to those who aren't aware of your great forum. Mahalo for the great job you do.

Safety Fast,
Dave

Aloha Dave,

Remember me? I went to the British Car Day a few years back and saw you in your TR3. Well...since then I've moved up to the mainland and now have a '65 Sprite. Too bad I'm not down in the islands...I'd love to drive it down to the park.

However, being that I'm in the Army I have a good chance of being stationed back on O'ahu...so maybe I can drive it in next year.

Joel

Aloha Joel,

I remember you. As I recall, you were looking for a spitfire at the time. Congratulations on the Sprite. A nice and nimble car. My son had one for a few year that was about the same vintage.

Good luck in the army. If you do get assigned to Hawaii, look up the British Car Club of Hawaii's website. There is a link in this forum in the club section.

Safety Fast,
Dave

You can be sure I will. It's also a safe bet that someday I will own another LBC...hopefully a TR3 or similar.

Take care. I'll let you know if I'm on my way back to Hawaii.

Joel

Dave:

Its getting closer all the time! Got an email from the Army y'day that said my airplane ticket would be delivered to me via FEDEX on 26th

...oh, I'm staying at the Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel

Nice place Tony. Be sure to make it out of Waikiki and see some other sights on the island. Waikiki is fun but it can be overbearing sometimes.

Restaurants to try:

The Pineapple Room. It's on the top floor of Macy's at Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Crouching Lion Inn. About halfway up the Windward coast in Ka'a'awa. It's a drive...and it's out in the boonies...but superb cuisine (had our rehearsal dinner there).

What exactly are you making the trip out there for, Tony?

Got a new Mustang convertible rented for just that!

Joel...if told you why, I'd have to come to Salinas & kill you....hehehehe...seriously, I'm going over to help the 25th Infantry Division with some of their training.

When do you finish DLI?

Doug - there was a red big AH there....the only 100-6 was blue & the guy had owned it since new...actually, he flew over to the UK to pick it up.

If you've not seen them, I posted a few pics over in "The Pub".
