official word..... Heat stroke

Glad you found out what it was.

I know I'm a little late but best advice I can give is Do not ask for medical advice here. We are gearheads, not doctors.

Still the same, he ran hot and was a few quarts low.

I've had it too and felt the same except for the left side biz.

All I need is some rust and a hole in my frame and me and my Spitfire will be a perfect match!

Heat stroke is nothing to laugh about! My wife had one two years ago and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. She was given three bags of fluids intravenously and was weak for the next couple days. She was in an air conditioned tractor mowing pasture at the time. Being close by I heard the horn blowing, looked over the tractor was stopped and she was slumped over the steering wheel. Fortunately she is fine now. Drink plenty of water, especially in this hot weather. Ok, here goes, if your P is deep yellow, according to my wifes doctors your not getting enough water in your system. Water not sugary drinks. Just to give you a little insight to desert combat.....In full gear I was drinking at least 1.5 liters per hour and wouldn't need to pee for 8 hours . In 120 degree heat that still wasn't enough water....

I hate Gatorade but... with enough ice I can tolerate it and find this is great during the hot weather. Hate to say it but got to feeling really dizzy, weak, etc. after beilng outside just keep Doug company while he was doing something, don't remember what. He actually had to help me upstairs to the bedroom where I just collapsed on the bed. He got me Gatorade in glass with lots of ice and a straw. I drank it immediately and in about 15-20 minutes felt perfectly normal. He had decided that if it didn't work it would be off to the ER with me. Did I mention that I rarely get medical attention for what I consider just a part of living? Glad to see that it was something that can be controlled.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate...
