The only problem with owning a 1960 Triumph TR3 is that I get homesick. I work one week on and one week off. Work is out of town. So, every other week all I can think about is getting home to drive my Triumph around!
Totally understandable. My last year in the Air Force was spent in Ubon, Thailand, 1973. Unlike most guys, no pin-up or wife's photo on the inside of my locker. I had a drawing I'd made of my Elan. Similar to this one made a few years later while working midnight shifts in a Pittsburgh steel plant. "Daydreaming."
Of course missed my wife and kids more, but had similar pangs of longing for my Jag when I was on a remote tour for two years to Greece. (But all I had were photographs to remind me what awaited when I finally got home.)
