Home electrical question

You will get twice the capacity. In your case it won't help that much. The only thing it will allow you to do is split the load. since you have that 7amp heating load that will still end up on one leg. If you plug in 7amps instead of 10amps into your voltage drop calculations you won't see much change. Unless you have some plans for further down the road, I can't see spending more money then you need.
