The mail just arrived...in it was an envelope from a longtime parts customer who's visited me a few times & who I've come to call a friend though we rarely talk person-to-person...inside the envelope was a note requesting some parts & a check....after telling me what he needed for his '69 MGB, he ended with "you fill in the total"...yep, his check is made out to me and signed by him & the amount is BLANK!!!!!!!

You guys don't know how much I needed that vote of confidence today....as I sat under my '74-1/2 GT installing new brake lines, I was thinking "its time to get out of this hobby business; I don't need the grief."...chuck will probably understand why....but, then, I get this...kinda restores one's faith in mankind!

tony, thats great stuff, i know just how you feel, every time i think about getting out of my business "they just pull me back in." - whats his name? perhaps he needs a new kitchen, addition, etc. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

I was at my MG meeting last night and your name came up. I tell them "I speak with Tony all the time on the BCF. It's amazing how your name gets around.

Mt daughter, the lawyer, gets on my case all the time for using my real name, address and phone number on-line....heck, I do it to prove I've got nothing to hide.

Yeah Tony, I understand. But if you remember I always tell you to send parts and tell me what they cost. You've always been more than reasonable

Tony- this thread reminds me you sent me 2 turn signal light rubber dothingies a month ago but no bill. I bought 2 of the chrome rims to complete the installation but they will not fit in the rubber form along with the beehive lens, so I am going with the lens only. Want to give me something for the chrome rings against what I owe for the rubber whatchamacallits??? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Dale - we weren't sure the rubber thingees would fit on your Daimler - it was just a hunch I had - my thought at the time was if they didn't fit, you could just send them back.
