I taught a digital camera class the other night and one of my "students" was the paint shop instructor from our district's vo-tech school. He and I started talking cars (of course) and he said he could have his students paint my B. It seems they are always looking for "projects" and the idea of a British car was intriguing. I would need to purchase the paint and they would do the prep and paint.
This idea appeals to me not only because it would be (1) inexpensive, (2) someone else would do it, (3) kind of cool giving students this opportunity.

Has anyone else ever seen the type of work they do? Had a car painted by a vo-tech class? Taught vo-tech?
I would love your opinions.

I've heard of several other folks who have had a tech school paint their car and they were happy. I wish I could find one to do mine.

I'm reminded of an old tv show based in a hospital and the lead doctor says "We call this a teaching hospital because if we called it a learning hospital it would scare the sick people".
Have you had an opportunity to view any of the teacher's previous projects? That would help me to decide, my son was involved with a couple of different projects in his high school years and they were very well supervised, it's all in the instructor's skill level.
