Hi

I am a member of the UK TR Register and have recently purchased a fully restored TR 250. I would like to know if any one out there is able to shed some light on this car’s history.
The details of this vehicle are as follow:

Triumph TR 250
Chassis Number: CD/7890-L
Engine Number: CC/7737-E
Specification: LHD, North American Export
Colour a) exterior: Jasmine
b) trim: Black
c) hood (top): White
Date of Build: 22 August 1968
Date of Dispatch: 3 September 1968
Destination: Leyland Motor Corporation of North America, Jacksonville

The next information I have is as follows:

10th December 2004 registered to Thomas Monroe Pairet, 309 Ford St Farmville VA 23901 title No: 57890420.
9th January 2005 sold for $7,828.98 to David Hall of Manchester England and imported in to the UK on 9th March 2005.

Hi PandaKeepr,
I'm moving this to the Triumph forum. You posted in the "Forum Help" forum, which is really where you ask questions about how to use the forum software, etc. Not for asking car-specific questions. Welcome to BCF by the way.

Have you tried contacting Thomas Pairet? He's apparently a council member of the town of Farmville VA and his phone number and e-mail address are listed on the Farmville VA website.

Thanks for the info. I had already written to Tom Pairet(as did the guy that did the restoration) but did not receive a reply. However with the additional information re his official post I Googled him and sent an email and got a reply. Bad news though, he lost all his records on his PC when it crashed. The only thing that he could tell me was he bought the car from a guy in Cary NC. Can any one else help?

You could try a title search with the DMV in NC.

Hi there - welcome.

We tend not to be a linage oriented here as you are in the UK, but the guys above have given you some good ideas. I would keep working the local clubs as the likely best source. DMV could also be useful as suggested, but the search capabilities will vary by state a great deal.

Good luck.
