Hindustan Motors??

As many of us know the BMC B-block engine is still being produced in India in the Hindustan Motors Ambasador https://www.hmambassador.com/iszmpfi.asp
They sell the car with a full syncro 5-speed.
Has anyone gotten one and put it in an MGA or MGB?

I thought they were Fiat 1100sm

oops I looked on google and the Fiat 1100 was the competition

for Hindustan Motors ,
they stoped building the Fiat 1100 clone in 2000

Steering ratio 22:1- talk about turning like a bus!

OK, that says:

"MPFI with 4 Cylinder OHC"

The MPFI (multi-point fuel injection) would be neat.

But isn't that an Over-Head Cam engine?

link - in early 1990s, the old petrol engine was replaced in favour of an Isuzu 1.8 litre

Well- if they replaced the engine with the Isuzu unit then I guess that thoughts of an easy conversion to a fullsyncro 5 speed are less of an option.
