Hillman - long shot...

Hi All,

It's a long shot, but you never know, does anybody recognise this car?
hillmannocarssmall.jpg

I took this photo in York, Marygate car park on 15th August 2004.
I thought if I could trace the owner he/she might like it as a print or wallpaper.
I've tried finding a Hillman forum but this is the best I could find.
As I said, it's a long shot but are there any Hillman fanatics out there who might know who owns the car or could tell me a good place to look?

Cheers,

Rich /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif

Rich...

It's definitely not there for me either (and I would imagine anyone else), I see you're using Photobucket for the image... maybe check to make sure you have the link referenced properly again.

I take that back, obviously you figured it out (whatever wasn't working before)

Nope, not there for me either. But, I'll take a guess anyway if you'd like!

... Hillman Minx (Series III model), built between 1959 and 1963, not sure if it's the IIIa, IIIb or IIIc - there were three different versions within the Series III run.

Not sure where you would find the owner, I can't even read the number plate/licence plate in your picture anyway, there might be some U.K. sources of help but don't know of any off-hand.

I've tried resizing the image - see if that works.

Now the photo is there! If you remeber, they copied the 1954 Studebaker Lowy coupe when they did that body styling

I think I read somewhere that the Raymond Lowy studios were actualy involved with the design of those, and the Rapier and Gazell models. If so it wasn't just a ripoff. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
