Perhaps. But one can never get enough of thirty plus old cars totally “schooling” some of the younger ricer crowd. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Bret, I agree. I have not seen that before, so it was appreciated.

I enjoyed that! I shall make a point of playing it for my two sons.......... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

The little escargot-burner needed all that extra HP to haul around the useless magnets, wire, and steel for all the speakers - plus the hydraulics for the suspension that was no-doubt set up for show, not for driving.

I'd bet hard cash that the thrashing of that rolling boombox by the STIG was the hardest it'd ever driven.

I get a kick out of that every time I see it. 130 HP from that frogeye is pretty serious. It also sounded like there were straight cut gears in that tranny. I wonder how 'light' they got it. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

I love that EVERY time I see it!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Never tire of seeing that one. 130hp out of a Bugeye is pretty durn good, too. Much cash went into that little car.

I would bet that the amount of engine work performed on that Sprite will determine whether or not you're correct... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

26,000 pounds. Imagine the MG you can create for that!

Who would bet that the Sprite has less "financial input" than the peugot.
I would tend to agree. But I suspect that the bulk of any money spent on the Sprite was in the stuff that matters. Like the engine, brakes & running gear.

Not a crap load of speakers, amps, video games and miles of wiring that tuner car had. Heck the parasitic loss of power from the enlarged alternator to run all that stuff alone probably siphoned 8-10 BHP alone off of the engine. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

What no video screens in your MG? Why not? ech!
