HIGH OIL PRESSURE?

I'll make this quick...
67 BGT runs well etc. etc.
Over the last few days, oil pressure @ idle 60-70 vs 50 (where it used to be) at speed it is 80
Had car for over 18 years, so I know it quite well, but this is a first.

Question:
Could it be a stuck pressure relief valve? If so, is it adjustable (manual says no)?
Oil pump has also gotten a bit noisy

All help appreciated!

Does if stay high when it's warm?
If not, it's probably oil-pressure relief valve sticking. Remove the cap (#22 below) and pull out the spring, valve and washers, and clean things up.
If it's staying high when it's warm, I can't imagine what it would be....possibly a plugged oil filter maybe?

Thanks for the diagram and the suggestion.

In response to your question: It may or may not stay high (80lbs) when warm and running. When warm at idle typically 70lbs.

I will try relief valve anyway, and see where that gets me.

Much Appreciated!!

Be prepared for a real PIA putting this back together. It took me and a friend 2 hours to get it back in.
