TR5/TR250 High oil pressure

I recently installed a spin on oil adapter to my tr250. The oil pressure is now very high, indicating between 80 - 90 psi. I also replaced the pressure switch. Could the adapter be creating a blockage of some kind?

The pressure will of course come down some as the engine heats up. What was the pressure before installing the spin-on adapter? Personally, I don’t think your pressure is to high. Lets see what others have to say.

Not all that worrisome on start up. Carry on until that is the pressure on hot.
The new filters may have different restrictions, but do keep and eye on it. 50/60 on a rebuilt motor at hot is fine and nice to see 20 or more at idle.
Let us know.

My 250 has a spin on filter and is high at startup like yours but comes down to 50/60 and 30+ at idle at full temp. I do have a higher volume pump too then stock and run racing oil so all that adds up to higher pressure. Did always bother me too but well over 20k on engine. My worries have subsided.
