I do have 2 mountings.
A simple clockwork for short lenses <100mm and max. 30min exposure.
And a heavy mounting with stepper motors on both axis to carry telescopes up to 15 kg.
I use the Kodak T-max 400, Kodak GPY 400, Kodak TP.
Cameras are simple mechanical housings like the AE 1 from Canon or old German M42 ones. I do have Zeiss Jena lenses from on 28mm up to 135mm and a Zoom lens 80-300mm. A cheap 500mm lens and a 800 mm Newton mirror telescope.
But since I am racing I have no time to sit whole nights in the dark and cold to photograph stars. I would do if I would change over to digital photos because the dark chamber work to tweak the film captured photos is very hard work and take very long.
The eclipse photo was taken with a simple Nikon Coolpix 4100 digi camera.

Funny to think that I was looking at the same thing from the other side of the planet. I tried taking a picture too, with my little camera. I must download it and see if it came out.

Last Lunar full eclipse I did was in the mid or late '90's. No more darkroom, no more time. For the amount of film I do now, there's a Naritsu machine on every street corner. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
