In case you Triumph fans missed it, look at ebay item #4523731355
Looks to me like a fair price for car and extra running gear, or have I been too mesmorized by the grace and flowing lines of my SP250. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Dart, you must have been looking at the tail pipes.---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Sure looks like a TR6 to me.

I second the motion to rename it a TR6. (or it's a horribly mutated spit)

sorry I diden't mean it that way.

This 71 whatever he wants to call it has the bumper overriders that I don't think were standard until 73? Maybe this is one example of an "original panel repair, restored to NEAR original condition". I wouldn't touch this one without a very close inspection. I bought my 75 TR6 on Ebay and got very lucky as it was very close to as advertised. If this one has a factory hardtop in good condition the seller certainly has a low reserve.

Here's another case of mistaken identity.

The part I love is that they call it a TR6, but it clearly says TR7 in one of the pictures of the decklid in huge big as life letters. Go figure.

I emailed that other seller and asked very politely if they meant to say that the car was a TR6, not a spitfire. I got no response.

I sent the seller a question about the car with no reply in 2 days. I'd stay away from this guy!

I emailed the seller as well, finally got a response today:

The picture on the ad I am finding out is not an actual photo... surprise to me... I am selling this for someone else... the car for sale IS a MK4 Spitfire that looks almost identicle to this one....no other photos available.... car has been sold... thank you for your inquiry.
