Did anyone notice the beautiful MG TC on eBay that just sold for $31,100 USD? Such a glorious car, and it has been locked away in a garage for who knows how long just 2 miles from my home! It makes you wonder what else is tucked away nearby, hidden from view by one inch of plywood.

eBay item number 300108827956

I wonder that all the time.

I "discovered " a TR3 as it was being pulled from a barn to go with it's new owner, a few years ago. It had been within a mile of me for 35 years and I never knew it.
Less than 20,000 miles, and the lucky ******* picked it up for 500 bucks! GRRRRRRR!!!
Jeff

I try my best to peek in all the barns around here as often as I can. I'm sure there's a few things tucked away, but I couldn't afford them anyways... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I wonder the same all the time. Was just out to pick up some parts for my TC about an hour or so away from home...found an abandoned corvette restoration shop("The Vette Shop") with the body of a 60's Corvette attached to the side of the run down building and a bunch of forgotten projects outside behind the place....kinda sad actually.

Lots of my cars were just that - hidden out of view & unknown by most folks until I stumbled over them....Jerri & I haven't gone out "MG hunting" in a long time; probably need to

I often wish I had x-ray vision for just this purpose. I wouldn't use it for anything dirty, honest!

This "x-ray vision" super-hero thing always struck me as strange.

So what's the thrill in ogling bones? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Their is a great book on this called Barn Finds, I highly recommend it.

About three months ago I found out my neighbor has a GT6 buried away. He says that his son and I are both pestering him for it /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

The Cobra In The Barn by Tom Cotter is quite good too. Supposedly he's working on a second volume.
