TR4nut said:Hey, welcome there, Mr. Dude -
As long as you are changing that out, have you considered adding another bolt to clutch fork? Something like what they show on the Buckeye Triumph site: Clutch Fork Rehab In the past year I've messed with 5 transmissions. - only one had an intact pin. When I put my trans back in the TR4, I did the cross-bolt thing they show on the website and so far things are working well.

TR4nut said:You mean, as long as the tranny is out, why not pull that engine?
And with the engine out, heck isn't it a good time to detail that engine compartment?
But if you get the engine compartment all pretty, don't you think a body respray is in order?
And what about that interior, now that the outside is all shiny?
And no way are you going to put that wheezed out old greasy engine back into your beautiful car without at least checking the bearings first are you?
:thumbsup:TR3driver said:Yeah, Doc, we're kinda loading him up ... but I figure it's better to tell him now rather than have the cussed pin break and "Why didn't anyone tell me!". O'course, if he's anything like me, he'll ignore the advice and find out the hard way what a PITA it is to pull all that back apart ...![]()
