New to this forum. I, well my son and I, have a 1977 "B". deciding where to go as far as getting it back on the road again. It has 45k miles, we know of the previous owners. But it has been converted to the earlier style of carbs and exhaust without the catalytic converter which is needed here in Nj. Unless the car is registered as historic or classic. My son is looking for a daily driver so..... Anyhow I will be eploring several areas of quesitons as time goes on here. :eek:nthego:

Welcome to the BCF! I deleted a bunch of extraneous stuff from your post. Not sure what It all was, but looked like maybe extra stuff in your clipboard from a previous cut-and-paste.

Head over to the MG forum and have fun!

Check out a local muffler shop; they can probably replace the converter for you. Mine will generally meet or beat what it would cost me to do it myself, plus I don't have to get dirty crawling around under the car. And exhaust is pretty much my least favorite area to work on!

Hi, and welcome!
