I am new to British car ownership. just bought a very nice 1990 Rover Mini a few mounts ago ,and bought a 1959 bugeye sprite project car last week.

Welcome,you're lucky,in that you can buy cars that are 25+ years old.
We can only get '75 older imported cars here in California (legal anyway).

I feel you pain . I lived in CA for 33 years. I don't recommend living there if you like collecting cars , shooting fireworks ,or not paying high taxes and government fees

First welcome aboard! I go to San Diego often for business (and planning to take wife there for fun) and really like that area, but I could not afford to live there! Love our neighbor Texas!
