Hi!/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I'm from St-Bruno, a suburb of Montreal, Quebec, CDN. As shown in my nickname, I'm a "6" fanatic and expect to be a proud owner next year. I'm looking at many classifieds and owners' sites since three years now (I’m very patient), getting familiar with all things to look at during an inspection for a future transaction but mainly, piling my money.
I will most certainly buy a U.S. car as up here north pole… rust is a major issue, not only for TR’s. Exchange rates are better for us now and Customs are no problems for antique cars. My main problem is that I’m difficult. I’m looking for an unrestored car (rolling restoration), in any kind of yellow spectra of color, with overdrive but no black interior. See what I mean!!!! But I’m not in a rush.
Love to look at forum for tips and solutions regarding real problems reported by actual owners. Will certainly post y future acquisition as soon as by baby arrives…
Looking forward to exchange with “6” fanatics.

Welcome - if you're not afraid of a road trip, contact Marvin Gruber in Florence, Alabama...he's got several "6's" like you described for sale.

Hi Tony,
Thank you for your Welcome.
I will keep your info cause not ready yet. But you never know... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

I was trying to sell my 6 earlier this year...But and MGB went instead so I can now keep the 6. It's a Brown non-overdrive....So I assume it's safe it say thats no loss to you. Anyway Welcome to the forum, and don't hesitate to ask anything your curious about over in the triumph forum.

Welcome - please jump in over at the Triumph forum also. Don't be a lurker, or we shall visit you in the small hours and put a bat up your night dress /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Welcome TR6Quebec.
I'm curious, were fuel injected models sold in Canada? It seems the only place I know to get the carburettor versions was the USA, for emission reasons. Get an original injection one if you can. And go over to the Triumph forum, lots of specific info there.
Regards
Craig

Hi TR674
No, unfortunatly, only carburated models in Canada, same as US specs. The only one I know with P.I. was for sale last year in Montreal but was not a factory equiped. It was added during an extensive restauration. Guy had a lot of trouble with it, even had to completly rebuilt his engine for running too rich...Car was black with tan interior. Very nice but not original. Sold for around 16,500$ CDN.
I was thinking about importing one from Australia !!! Joking ! But realy looked at a UK model but exchange rate are too bad and oversea's transport very expensive.
So, thank you for your welcome.

Sorry Dr Entropy but my American culture is not up to date...For me, The Elderberries is a rock group or a fruit! I guess it's not it? Help !

A reference to the ~English~ Monty Python movie "Holy Grail."

It will be difficult for me to post technical subjects but will certainly post for buying tips.
Thank you for your welcome.

Welcome to the BCF. I see you are a TR6 fan. I have always liked them, however, it's about the only car I have never owned. Just the other day I noticed a very nice TR6 sold for $19K U.S. Can you believe it? My current ride is an XKE and it only leaks a little. Again, this is a neat forum with lots to look over.
