Hi Ray !!
My new hubs arrived this afternoon as well.

I could not quite afford your level of quality
but mine should work out for me. They get used
very low mileage.

That explains it. I thought that the Tinster got some new, high tech hubs for the TR6! :driving: :laugh:
 
Hmm, wonder how those "bearing buddies" would work out on a TR?

For those unfamiliar, the chrome piece hides a sliding, spring-loaded piston with a grease zerk. You fill the hubs with grease until the piston slides out against the spring, then in theory, when you back the trailer into the water, the shrinking grease doesn't suck water in past the seals.

Concept seems valid, but we still had lots of trouble with trailer wheel bearings.
