...what've you gotten done on Miss Agatha?

Yes, it must be nice /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif to be Jack!

hehe, just got back, spoke with engine shop, all is ready, will pick up tomorrow morning early and get some paint on so I can rebuild later in the week I hope.

Yep, we raced at Anderson this weekend. Got a third, oh well, droped the spare engine off for a rebuild and up date to latest specs. We need that extra 10 HP badly. Car ran great just a bit low on power to keep up with the front runers. Will have a max overbore, new cams, pistons, etc etc everything the law allows.

Picked up a 4 foot high trophy for 2ed place for the year at Lanier Raceway. Weeee, big one.

way to go, now lets get back to the misses /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

"everything the law allows" ...and ... what else? we won't tell. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Engines are done to spec and sealed by the builder with a serial number tag. They are subject to inspection at any time and if they find a no spec one you are out and the builder is also out.

Not to be taken lightly, but can be blueprinted very carefully. Actually only a .007 over size bore is allowed to take care of fitment probs but then .007 prob gives 2 or 3 HP, when you only have 140 anything is good. They also allow a special insert to the camshafts that keeps them from bending a bit, another couple HP. Carbs can also be jeted as you wish, another couple HP if you get it right.

Last mod is a top oiler that gives no HP of course but helps with heat and wear.

That's all except a big overhaul is about 4 to 5K.

Engine is capable of about 18K but we are limited by electronic rev limiter to 10.5 period.

C'mon Jack, there are always gaps in the rules. You need to find them and exploit them... It is the American way.

For these cars it is in the suspension adjustments. Even the tires can only be bought from one place and they even check their softness after a win. It's tough. They even use a sniffer on the fuel.

I have not found a way around anything yet but I'm sure there is as a few go like stink.

I'm still thinking.

We did go the whole season with no damage to the car though.
