Years ago, on a mission trip to Ecuador, we were walking in "Iguana Park" in Guayaquil; bunch of iguanas in the trees. And it's not uncommon for them to fall on unsuspecting passers-by or folks sitting on the benches: > Don't Miss Iguana Park In Guayaquil Ecuador <

Fortunate fer moi, those reptiles (the larger, iguana variety) are a bit further south. Pals in Englewood and on Boca Grande have more to worry about. 😉

EDIT: Our lizards are so small they sound like raindrops when they go torpid and fall out of th' plants. 😉

Stationed in Gitmo for 2 1/2 years, Iguanas there are pretty big, if one fell on you, you would be hurting for quite some time! They weigh about 30 pounds! BUT, they are friendly!!

My son was there for a year. He said that in addition to the iguana they have huge rats that will regularly chew through power lines. He did say that the fishing was amazing.
