Wow...that's a stretch!

That car for sale is a <span style="text-decoration: underline">FIAT 850 Spider</span>.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Not</span> an <span style="text-decoration: underline">Alfa Romeo Duetto 1600</span> (as driven by D. Hoffman in the movie).

Fiat 124, probably take it. Fiat 850, no way.
 
:iagree: 100% In fact I have considered the 124 drive-train for a Spridget transplant, just so I could call it a Fidget :jester: ! (I also think it would work well though!) :wink:
 
The Fiat 850 wasn't a bad car, as long as you weren't in a hurry. It was the first sports car I ever drove, needless to say I wasn't impressed.
 
I spun one of those things on a sandy road on a farm once, putting a dent in the door sill with a rock. Girlfriends parents not impressed, not in a positive way, at least!

Good thing it wasn't a Corvair or we would have hit some other stuff too.
 
:lol: That was never very hard to do with them...lucky the swing axles didn't tuck and cause a flip as well as a spin. All the negatives of a rear-engined layout with few of the handling attributes of a Porsche! :eeek:

the Midgets come in 3 varities. The original Bugeye was a Sprite. MG made no equivilant. the MKII Sprite /MKI Midget (same car) is when it became the "Spridget" then later in the 70s the Midget got the 1500cc Triumph Spitfire engine and the "Spitfidget" was born. No need to go through the hassle of the Fiat transplant. hehehehehehe
 
I have what was sometimes called a "Super Spridget" in th' inventory... Tiny and QUICK for th' time. Which variety would THAT be in?
