Hex Nut 2BA?

Does anyone know the "modern day" equivalent to a hex nut size 2BA? Need to source some from a local auto parts source. The folks behind the counter look at you like you have 6 heads when asking for the size. I attempted to do the conversion a few times and always came up short.

Need to fix a broken connection between accelerator pedal and throttle on a '66 BJ8. Moss part #310-040 and the corresponding lock washer is whats needed.

10-32 should do it.

2BA: .185" Dia, 31.36 threads/inch

10-32: .187" Dia, 32 threads/inch

The nut format won't look the same, though.

PS - 3/16" BSF: .19" Dia, 32 threads/inch

if you want the real thing, suggest British Tools & Fasteners.

IIRC he told me the 3/16" BSF is often substituted for the 2BA.

As above, Britishfasteners.com for the real part... and BA taps and dies.

Thank you! Appreciate the responses.
