I know, Randall......they've cancelled contracts in a lot of states, and added to the unemployment rolls....how is that helping the states who want to collect sales taxes for out-of-state or even in-state customers?
Jeff Bezos is local....we get a lot of interview quotes.
He actually is FOR Nexus intra-state taxation, just not for taxation that singles him out and leaves everybody else alone.

Both TRF and Elliot are located in Pennsylvania. When we Pennsylvanians place orders with The Roadster Factory - 6% sales tax is collected (and correctly so).
 
Elliot uses his beach house in Bermuda as his residence and avoids tax

Wish I could!

But the wife comes unglued every time I talk about it. I may have to retire and not tell her! :laugh:
 
Money-grabbing states.....the Amazon/California deal is not limited to California residents. New law in California, any California retailer selling out of state MUST collect California state sales tax, unless the recipient has a valid resale certificate in their state, and the seller has a copy on hand.

THAT'S where this is going.

Around here, we got annexed. New rules, business license fees we never had, and square footage of 500 sq ft max, including all outside storage, or you MUST bring your entire house up to current commercial fire code standards, including sprinklers in every room (and the FD inspections), and full ADA Wheelchair Access, even if you have no walk-in customers.

Looked at the economy, business, costs, and the upcoming Nexus, and that was it.
