Chuckles has been scouring the classifieds lately. Called from the shop today (doing some work on Emma) and said a guy came in that has a '73 MGB that he took in trade on a siding job. He wants $6-700 for it. He's bringing it by in a bit for Chuck to look at, he's going to offer him $3-400 for it.

Now what do we want with a $400 '73? That's not in my scheme of plans.

Make it run well, shiny it up and turn it. Offset Binabox's reconstruction a bit.

Could be what he's thinking, because he's still on me to sell one of the Bs as it is. I told him when monkeys flew outta my butt. In fact, I think I'll will them to my kids. Someone's name isn't on the titles.

We have that $20 engine that runs. Depending on the condition of the body, some work, some elbow grease, as little $$$ as possible and yea, flip it.

I think he's thinking about a car for his sister & brother-in-law. They went driving with us about 7 or 8 hours Sunday and I don't think Ron quit grinning from the time he got behind Emma's wheel.

'73's a good year (Janet's is a '73). Last "full year" as a chrome bumper, and has the SU HIF's. I'm with Doc - if you don't want it as a keeper, fix it up and sell it.

Hmmm, offset Binabox's restore costs...repad the bank account...leather furniture for the living room...vacation...

Or 3 cars. NO way in heck unless it's a GT and I sell the Solara.

Maybe Brian wants it, he was born in '73.

I may be coming to Nashville alone if we can make it Mickey. Think Chuck's fishing from the 13th on for a week, 10 days.

Be sure and let me know ahead of time. I'm still hoping to have the TR8 ready to drive down by then. Either way, we'll bring the MGB. If you've time when you come through Clarksville, we'll hit the Blackhorse Pub.

I can make time. The show is Saturday, correct? Argh, I best decide soon because I have to make arrangements to be off on Friday, or I'm -

Hey, I won't come through Clarksville on the way to Nashville. I-64 to I-57 to I-24 right into town.

Oh wait, will I?

(I told ya'll geography was my nap time)

Yes, you'll come through Clarksville on I-24 - we're right on the KY/TN border, about 45 miles NW of Nashville.

The show is Saturday, and there's a reception Friday night. PM me if you need any more info.
