<span style="font-style: italic">FYI -- I copied the URL for just the image (not the whole photobucket page) and used it in the scripted window that pops up when you hit the image icon on the advanced editor message screen.

PS: Cool ad!

Nah - Think it was in the mid 600's - Maybe it's that broken dash line (above 60 but below 80). Note lower that it reads that the average manufacturing weekly wages were $99.

Good try, you're real close. Try doing a copy & paste with the "IMG for bulletin boards & forums" instead of the "HTML ...
For example (I've deliberately left a character off so it will appear as text instead of the image):

https://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af179/paramedicjk/triumphad.jpg[/IMG

Also note the "preview post" button, which allows you to see the effects before making the post.

Geo, I see "dard & Poor's" at the bottom, which makes me think the chart is some version of the S&P 500. 80 would be about right for 1962, but I can't account for why it says "425 Industrials" instead of 500.

Sorry Geo - I was definitely wrong. Randall - I looked it up, said at one time the S&P 500 was: 425 industrials, 15 railroads, 60 utilities.

Ah, that would explain it. I just love the thread drift, we started out talking about BMIHT certificates and wound up talking about stock prices!

And just to amplify on what Andy said, it was not unusual for overdrives to be added (or even sometimes deleted) by the dealer. They were a fairly expensive option, and hence not too popular where gas was only $.30/gallon. So the dealers tended to order the cars without OD.

Misguided owners have even been known to add the 'O' to the commission number.
