Why can not Moss or someone be in my town? Why are parts always a week away? Why is what I need not on my shelf?

Sigh.

All thats missing is are we there yet? :jester:

I just got word that the interior kit for the MGB we are raffling is back ordered. Doh! This car needs to be done in three weeks.

Sigh.

I feel your pain. A body panel that I need was available at AH Spares..and no where else. Weeks out.

Not that I am going to need that part any time soon - it's just the knowledge that I have it and it's ready to go whennever I want to do it that counts!

DON'T......and I repeat DON'T even get me started on that !!!!!!

Box number two just arrived and I STILL don't have everything ordered.

Despite the fact Moss screewed up, they are expecting ME to jump through hoops to get it right. All for a $2.35 part. ( they still owe me another $12 bucks worth that, "are comming from another warehouse", but there is no record of that.) When they tell you that, it means., "we screwed up and didn't pack or ship it."

More on that later...

Stuff I've ordered from AH Spares comes quick. As long as not large body panels AirFreight makes it here quickly. 2-3 Days with priority shipping. It doesn;t all come by boat.

Yeah, AH Spares is really quite good. I this case, they simply don't have the part in stock at the moment.

Moss indeed has an east coast and a west coast warehouse and all items are not carried at both.

especially if you are raffling, try https://www.stockinteriors.com/

good product good price

Thanks JP, carpet is no problem for an MGB. The problem is the panels and seat kits.

We're going to check with VB, and Roadster Factory to see what they can do for us.

I just tried AH Spares for the first time last week, very impressed - my order was $126.00 delivered to my door, compared to the other regular options that would have been $188.00 + shipping...

I will defiantly check them next time !!!

Jack, I know they do but in this case they used it as an excuse to cover the fact it was never pulled or shipped.

Get this, they tell me if I return a part that they made a mistake on, they can't guarentee it will be credited to my account. I have a full account of what happened I plan to post in the vendor thing Basil mentioned a while back. I've never been to that forum, so I don't know what's up of it it's even allowed.

I am so upset with them right now.

I've never had a problem with VB returns.

They even let me keep the wrong gas cap they sent me and an extra set of rod bearings.

Trev, how much for a ticket?

Just wanted to throw in my 1.5 cent worth re AH Spares. I've order from them a couple of times and was very please with their service and the qualtiy of the parts. Most recently I needed a body part for my BE and no one here had it nor could they give a hint as to when they would. Checked with AH Spares and had the part in 3 days! Shipping isn't cheap but with the current dollar versus pound exchange I still saved almost$40.00 over any US vendor plus the fact they had what I needed.

My experience, too, they always have a better selection than the others. As with your experience, they carried body panels for my BE that neither Moss or VB carries (although they are currently a couple of weeks out). AH Spares is my preferred vendor.

On the flip side, whenever I pay extra for express shipping and the part arrives on time, I find that I suddenly get busy with other stuff and am unable to find the time to install it, so it languishes and by the time I'm ready to install it has become lost beneath the other garage flotsam.
