Wife was on her way home and called to report her BMW stopped and she was stuck on the side of rt 66. I drove to her location and found the belt has snapped which also caused the top radiator hose to get cut in half.

I gave her the KIA to drive home and I’m sitting here waiting for the tow truck.

What fun.

A few years ago, I went to a Healey Rendezvous at Lake Tahoe and my wife flew to a writer's conference in Connecticut. She had an awful trip there with delayed and diverted flights, while I had a smooth trip. I told her: "Next time travel in a reliable British sports car."

And you’re still here to talk about it! Count your blessings

I didn't get home until 10:45PM! Waited on the side of the road from 4:55PM till after 10PM for the tow truck. Longest I;ve ever had to wait for a tow. Glad to be home - I'm pooped!

Where was the tow truck coming from, The Springs?

Sorry for the bad luck! You have my sympathies. Had similar experience with Diesela a few years ago. "Failure to Continue" and we waited five hours for a Jerr-Dan. Started home from Miami at 10AM, didn't get home 'til after midnight.
