Post-War Other Herald seat track mount

I've been trying to sort some dashboard wiring on the Herald and found the job much more suitable to my 71+ year old joints with the seats removed. The PO mounted them with bolts and washers with loose nuts underneath and unreinforced holes in the floor pan. I'm sure this is not original. It takes two people, or one with much longer arms than mine, to get them unbolted.
How were they done originally? Cage nuts? Nuts welded to a plate which is welded to the bottom of the floor? Studs welded to tracks? Other? Probably similar to Spitfire. Thanks in advance.
Tom

Tom, the seats originally were fastened down via cage nuts. They, and the metal into which they went, could be a bit fragile. But if said metal is all intact, then it's worth reverting to the correct fasteners. Somewhere at home I've got the part numbers, and all indications are that Canley Classics does indeed have said fasteners. Remind me here and / or e-mail me if you don't hear back from me fairly soon!

(NOTE: I did buy, via one of the part numbers, some fasteners from a US vendor, but they turned out to be something quite different and unusable in the Herald application. To their credit, they acknowledged the error; to my credit, they refunded my money! )

Thanks, Andy. I can always count on you. Tom

FWIW, MMC sells a caged "weld nut" that seems to work very well. Stronger than original, and can be attached with pop rivets if you want. There's a good article on Mark Macy's website about them. He will also sell you just one (minimum quantity at MMC is 10)

Thanks Andy. I guess I'll have to get more familiar with Canley Classcs. Tom.
