If you weren't so far away from the Albany, NY, area, I'd take it!
If you want to give me some details (early or late style, overall condition, etc., either here or via PM), I can pass information along to various folks, as I'm occasionally asked about such bits.
Alas, my road trips days are largely over. It's been years since the trailer has been registered and even longer since I've had a tow vehicle. Besides, the accessory roof rack I have for my Herald likely isn't quite sturdy enough to carry a Herald chassis!
(Not that I wouldn't have been willing to try something like that in my younger and slightly more foolish days! Someday, I'll find, scan and post on the web a slide I took showing how we'd strapped a Spitfire Mk3 body tub directly onto the roof of a well-beaten but willing Volvo 145, after lowering it down from the hayloft door of the barn where it had been stored.)
I believe it is either a 62 or 63 herald. LH captive nuts where the body bolts on to the very rear are pulled thru, some small rust holes on the outer rail where the rocker panels bolt on but only on the LH side. If I can get $75 out of it I'll be happy. I'd rather it go to someone that can use it over going to the junk man. I also have the entire front cowl assy that needs the front pans replaced but the entire firewall is solid, no windshield. Several other parts from the car if anyone needs.
