Post-War Other Herald dash recovered!! Now Fascia won't fit!!

Well finally found someone to make a dash out of the crumbling mass of cardboard that I gave them.. it looks pretty good, not original, but clean and fairly solid.. I went to place the fascia on the dash and guess what!! Yep, too small for the faceplate to go in there... I think I will have to cut some of the faceplate away to make it!! Should have given him the facsia with the dash... Oh well, just thought I would share my frustrations!! I will let you know how and if I get it in...

Well, it'll still be better than the scrap plywood replacement dash I have in one of my early Herald convertibles! (Yeah, better than NOTHING, I suppose, but....)
