Post-War Other Herald Coupé

I am hoping to add a 1961 Triumph Herald Coupé to my collection.Haven't seen it yet as it is in England but will go over to view if price seems right.It has a 1300 Spitfire engine and gearbox,disc brakes and is prepared for rallying which is just what I want.
The question is.....does anyone know of a site where I can get a bit of background on the cars? History,production numbers and general pictures and advice.

I found out the production figures but not a lot more other than a few pictures.(one of these very interesting of a Coupé on the RAC rally)
Anybody have anything else?

Thanks to Brian for recommending several good resources (including, ahem, my own, now aka <triumph-herald.us>)! ;-) I might also suggest checking out web sites for The Vintage Triumph Register and the Triumph Sports Six Club.

And I cannot recommend enough the triumph_herald e-mail list on Yahoogroups.com as Brian mentioned. Many on that list are UK-based, and someone might well know the car you're considering.

Considering that the car is "prepared for rallying," this might be a moot point. But the early Herald chassis, without some strengthening or reinforcement, really weren't suitable for motors bigger than the 948 or 1147. The rear end suspension/axle mount points in particular are at risk with the extra torque of a 1300 motor. If this is a '61, it's almost certainly the early chassis unless it has been changed.

Thanks for that Andy,will do some more research. I believe the back end has been "worked upon" to cope with extra load.
I am now waiting to hear if the guy IS going to sell the car and how much! It is someone I know well and his cars are always prepared to a high standard,although I have never seen this one.
