Her water broke!

Offline
And here we are in the delivery room. No contractions at all (they're gonna have to induce her). It's 1 day after the due date. Little miss Morgan's heartbeat can be heard on the monitor. It's a good day.

Congrats, Kenny. For a moment there, I thought you were talking about your radiator hose. MGs do that.

Oh, I have extra new hoses for that "her".

At least They have free wireless here at the hospital.

I guess we're on a countdown!

I'm glad they're making you comfortable! :jester:
Best wishes to you all.

Jeeze that a long time. I remember posting before I went away and you thought you were close..."oh and good luck! we're all counting on you"

6:42...?????

Many years ago my brother and SIL were expecting their first child. My brother was an air traffic controller and had been working midnight to 8 am then coming home to find one after another things to fix...the oven, the sink, the toilet, etc.

One day he walks in, eyes half closed to find my SIL sitting, waiting..."the water broke".

He walks back into the garage and yells "I'll get my tool box".

True story,

Ray

Men...

Funny. And don't call me shirley.

We're gonna be here a while. They just started her petocin drip to start the contractions.

...OI!! Jus' tryin' t' HELP. :savewave:

Bad enuff I gotta go down 3 floors and across to the other side of the hospital to smoke. By the time I get there and back. There's no real need to pace. :smirk: Watching "Kids In The Hall" on youtube is passing the time a little.

20 hours.... we were there for 20 hours. I was working nights, she calls at 3 AM. I left work. and our dot wasen't born till 11:50 the following night. I was a tad tired. My poor wife was totally exhausted.
Hope you make it. I know ya will. Way to go Dad!

Good luck to you and the missus!

28 hours here. Man that was a long ordeal. I won't tell you how fast I drove her to the hospital but it was fast, and wasn't necessary at 6am on a Saturday morning when the rugrat didn't come out until 10am on Sunday that's for sure.

Next time, I'm having breakfast at least...

Yeah, about 20 hours for us last January when my #1 grandaughter was born.

All of us sitting around...future grandparents, my son-in-law, my younger daughter, family friends, my brothers, etc.
Long ordeal for my daughter but we all got an ~immeasurable gift~

Kenny: Hang in there! Best of luck to you and the missus! (and great name choice too)

You took your computer into the delivery room?

Yep I sure did. Really nice, private room with a couch a tv, a reclining chair.

The nurse figures it'll be around 6am before we see the little one. Having the laptop gives me something to do other than pace around for the next 6 hours.

ROFL

I could see that being something that my Dad would have said.

Good luck on the delivery.
