Hendrix Wire Wheels

I'll start my question in the Triumph forum since I have a 65 TR4A that I just finished restoring. Has anyone had experience (good or bad) with Hendrix Wire Wheel in NC? I am thinking of sending him a set of new tires and wheels to have him true the rims, mount the tires and shave them true. He sounds and looks great, but would like to hear from anyone that may know about their work.

Thanks.

I had a set of new wires drop shipped from Moss to Hendrix. He re-trued the new wheels, mounted new tires with tubes, balanced and shaved them. I installed them on my TR3, and was amazed at how smooth they were, at least up to the 90 mph I've driven them at. His services aren't cheap, but I feel they are worth every penny I paid.

I frequent the Ferrari Chat forum, and the guys in the vintage section also recommend his services. Don't hesitate...there's nothing to think about when it comes to Hendrix.

I have had good experiences with them. They sold me the tires on the GT6. They trued the rims that they could (many frozen nipples), installed the rim tape, mounted and shaved the tires, then balanced them. They marked each tire for position based on how true they could get the wheel. The car drives better than it ever has. As Marts-5 said, they are not cheap but they are good.

ANYTHING Alan does will be done completely, correctly...........well......... let's just say PERFECTLY !!! He has done work for me on my 59 TR3 and it was great. Use him, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Just needed to be reassured that my impressions were correct. New wheels and tires are on their way to Alan as I write this. Should have them all back by end of next week. Can't wait. Then I can actually drive the car that has been 4 years in the works. Still a lot of cosmetics to do but almost completely done with the mechanicals.
