TR6 Help with tr6 engine diagnosis

I had my TR 6 engine rebuilt several years ago, I started it and run it on a test stand , then I started assembling the body and frame over a year long process, I installed the motor and started it but noticed what I thought was a loud valve train, I adjusted the valves a few times but the noise persisted. After inspecting the rockers and shaft, I noticed they were the original ones with cupped rocker shoes and galling on the shaft. The shaft had ridges making it difficult to remove the lifters. I bought a new shaft, rockers and checked the pushrods, installed and external oiler. i started it up again and the same noise no matter how many times I adjusted the lash. I checked the lift on the pushrods with a dial indicator and noticed the first lifter was out by .030 . I pulled the head, took the cam out and noticed some wear but not that much, however I did notice that the oil had 60 grit size metal pieces in it. The lifters did have some wear due to the fact that some of the old rockers were not distributing any oil down the pushrods. before I took the head off I ran the engine while pulling the plugs to check the noise but the tapping or knocking still persisted. I am going to pull the pan and inspect the lower end and the wrist pins as well as the crank. Any suggestion as to what is causing the noise would be apprecelated.

I was listening to the video I took on the initial start up and it did not appear to be loud, however I had an open header so it may have masked some of the noise, but I did hear what I thought was valve train noise at the time.

How’s the oil pressure?
Did you replace the oil pump when you did the rebuild?

I went around the con rods and checked clearance on crank, they seemed to be all the same , about .010, I cut the filter open and had a few small shavings of metal in the filter material, I hit the top of each piston but they all seemed to be the same solid spun, I will try to upload the video again as I had trouble the last time. It appears I will have to check the torque on all bolts and if that’s good, start taking out the pistons next

See if this video will play

So lets start with ( I had my motor rebuilt ) This was not your work ?? What part of rebuild and worn rockers/shaft and cam is rebuild was done, I like others question who did the work with almost chips in the oil. The top end of our motors are cheep to make like new and the adding of top oil line is a must as it not only adds to lub but cooling. Others will add to this list of questions. In the end you will need to start over sad but true
