Is there a trick that I am missing? I can't for the life of me get all 4 mounting studs to match up at the same time.

You need to lift it up with the rear diff mounts OFF the diff. Once you have the front two in you can lower the rear part of the diff a little and install the rear mounts.

Hope this helps,

I hope you aren't man-handling this heavy baby. Does require some type of lift. I used a floor jack, even then tough.

Thanks bill, but I am not that strong. (Body by seally, don't cha know) I even had a buddy of mine driving the jack while I was under the car.

Shannon, I will give your way a try. thanks for the suggestion.

THanks shannon, it worked like a champ.

Does anyone know what the torque settings are for the diffy to the frame? I found the settings for the rear but not the front.

A 6? A GT6? A TR6? A Vitesse?

jackag91's profile says he has a '73 TR6. Most likely that's the car he's working on.

yeah it was a tr6. Sorry I completely forgot about the GT6's and never even thought about the other 6 cylinders.

thanks again for the help.
