I am building my '59 twin cam and am in need of a backing plate. Twin cam one would be utopia but one from a 3-main MGB will also work. Anyone out there with one - or - any suggestions on where to look - - - thanks
 
Welcome to the Forum Laurie! I am an old twin cam fan and understand your plight in this area. You may be able to find on on Ebay...I am amazed at the parts I have been able to find there. The have a great search engine in Ebay Motors, Parts section ...just put in MGB MGA and go from there!
