I have a 1960 AH BT7 with an Auxiliary Enrichment Carburetor choke system. Recently, it started overflowing through the air intake of the choke carburetor when the temp is above 180 degrees. It runs beautifully until it reaches temperature, then feels like it is flooding, chugging and dying. I replaced the solenoid, and thermo switch with no improvement. I can't replace the choke system because you can't add a manual choke to these carburetors. I have been to two mechanics specializing in British cars, one wants me to leave the car with them for 6 months (how backed up they are) and the other, a Jag mechanic, suggested that the float in the bowl was too high causing gas to rise in the electric choke. I lowered the float, again no improvement.
WHAT AM I MISSING!? Any ideas out there?
