I also need to know what this part is. My car was mostly dismantled when I bought it, but this part was in the proximity of the kidney pad. Anyone know what this is and how to install it? Thanks in advance for your help, Kevin

It's kind of dark.
Use a different back drop (section of floor)
Different angle?
Don't you use Photobucket?
If you have a problem with it E mail me the shot.,if no one gets it.

It looks like the back cross support for the kidney pads. It connects to the back of the pads and lays across the trans cover.

I'm with Keith. But a kickstand is a good answer!

If you got the TRF green TR6 catalog page 415 has a good picture of how it's installed. If you don't have the catalog I was wrong about it mounting to the back of the pad. It should be mounted to the center of the pad. The longer leg goes on the passenger side. The top hole should have a rubber buffer in it that goes against the heater box. Also the leg should go up.

That would explain why I had no idea.
Thieves stole my cars kidneys and left it in a tub of ice

:iagree: Yep....Keith has it right

Can you post the length? I need to make one and TRF wants $24.00 plus shipping. I could wing it but the right measurement would be nice. Thanks.

I could take measurements, but would you like me to trace it or photo copy it and mail it to you? Might be a little more accurate.PM your address if you are interested.
Kevin
