Use that old timer Greek's assimilation of physics. Leverage.....
When the flywheel is mounted on the crankshaft you have those pointy little things full circumference(hopefully) called ring gear teeth. You can install a long bolt, or stud where you can apply some kind of lever(long screwdriver, prybar(VW/Honda/Acura flywheel hold tool) to keep the flywheel from turning as you are using a breaker bar to remove the flywheel bolts...
