FWIW, on my computer, when using Firefox, I don't have the breaking sound (I did last year). It's there when I use Explorer.

I must be missing a Firefox plug-in (?)

I didn't hear it with Chrome, but did with Explorer. Then for some unknown reason I started hearing it with Chrome. Still can't hear it with Safari.

I discovered that Opera browser only gives the "smashing light bulb" sound if Settings is set to allow Flash.

Some browsers may have Flash disabled by default, so do some diggin' to turn it on !

Okay, I turned on "Shockwave Flash" in Firefox, and I now hear the breaking bulbs (I desperately need to get a life...).

Firefox allows you to only turn on Flash for specific sites--instead of 'across-the-board'--which is a good idea as Flash is a known conveyor of malware (I think we can trust Basil ).

I've got a Dell tower sans speaker. So I can't hear the g___ d___ breaking bulbs or the loud revs on healey6.com - unless I put my headphones on.
