Car was running fine then I had to replace the brake light switch and I think I disturbed some wires connected to my crane cams electronic ignition. When I finished installing the brake light switch the car wouldn't start. I noticed one white wire from the ignition that was old and brittle broke off and was disconnected. I reattached that wire and the car started but died out about 10 seconds later. I fiddled with the wiring to improve the connections and wasn't sure everything was rewired as it was before and when I tried to start the car it turned over just fine but no spark. With a test light I did notice that I had no voltage from the ignition switch to the coil when I turned the ignition on to start. When the ignition switch is off the white ignition wire to the coil is hot but not when It is turned to on or start. I then pulled the ignition switch to make sure all connections were correct and they are. I rechecked the connections and got the ignition wire hot somehow and the car started momentarily but ran real rough and died out altogether. I cant seem to recreate that condition and cannot get voltage to coil wire with the ignition switch on on or start. Can anyone offer some suggestions to resolve this problem , should I be looking elsewhere voltage regulator, fuse box have no idea where to go next. thank you

For starters, rig a jumper from batt positive direct to the power wire on the coil and start it up. If it runs, check the power from the ign switch at the switch with the key on. try this several times to make sure there is power at each instance. If you have power there and the thing runs when jumped, the wire is bad.
