Help - inside my distributor

I am working on my BJ7 distributor (part of a tune up) and I cannot blame anyone but myself. Although I drew a picture of the "before" I cant tell where to place 2 wires inside the distributor. One is the ground wire and the other is the wire inside the distributor that is a continuation of the wire that comes off the dynamo. Also, where on the points do I attach the wire from the condensor? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark

One is the ground wire
The ground wire was permanently fixed to the movable plate at one location and fastened to the distributor housing along it's outer rim with a small screw.

and the other is the wire inside the distributor that is a continuation of the wire that comes off the dynamo.
.

The B/W wire attached to the coil and then connects to the dizzy external post is continued inside the dizzy and is connectes to the points at the pivot post along with the condenser lead .

It is essential that you insure that these [ 2 ] leads are properly located on the insulator then attached to the pivot post, or you will short the points to ground.

Thanks. I understand to take the continuation of the b/w wire and attach it to the points along with the condenser lead at the pivot post.

I have a second wire (moss calls it a ground wire) that is 2 1/4 inches long and it will attach with a screw and washer to the movable plate you refer to. At the other end it has a metal loop thru which the screw that holds it down with go - but what I dont know or see is where it attaches to the distributor housing. Any ideas?, Mark

Like I said there is a small recess in the outer rim of the dizzy housing that includes a threaded hole witch that is fastened to.

I have looked inside my distributor for a threaded recess and cant find it. I believe that I am supposed to attach the wire on one end to the movable plat and the other end to the non-moving plate by using the screw that hold the non moving plate to the distirbutor housing. What do you think?, Mark

OK that will work---Keoke
